Its already two in the morning and I’m in Bangkok. Tomorrow at this time, I will have barely arrived in Colombo International Airport in Sri Lanka and shall be whisked forty kilometers to a beach resort in Bentota. To think that just yesterday evening, I was sweating it out with Manila’s infamous humidity at Ayala Center. Ah, life is indeed good.

One of the favorite travel destinations of Filipinos, Bangkok is gleaming with new high rise buildings and first-world infrastructure projects. Its new airport — once fully operational and completed — can give Changi Airport in Singapore a run for its money. Its my first time in Bangkok and just hours after I got out of the airport, I can see why tourists flock to this magnificent city. Their new airport alone is a testament to the Thai’s tireless attempt to be the region’s best. (more…)
