Well, not to belittle the seriousness of corruption in the Philipphines, I believe all of us can benefit from a good laugh. This is a very funny video about the present corruption issue hugging the headlines. After watching it though, remember that nothing is funny when people in the government steal our hard earned cash so that they can sustain their immoral ways of living.

Watch, laugh, and be very angry and vigilant.

I am campaigning for Mar Roxas if he decides to run for president in 2010. I have never pledged my support to anyone like this before — making it public I mean. But that was because in the past, I could not find any candidate worthy of my precious time and effort. Hence, outside of voting, I never really campaigned for anyone despite the fact that I have been in the field of politics way back in college. There are many reasons for my reluctance to campaign for somebody but the most important is I am not a believer of personality-based politics. Its already two in the morning and I’m in Bangkok. Tomorrow at this time, I will have barely arrived in Colombo International Airport in Sri Lanka and shall be whisked forty kilometers to a beach resort in Bentota. To think that just yesterday evening, I was sweating it out with Manila’s infamous humidity at Ayala Center. Ah, life is indeed good.

One of the favorite travel destinations of Filipinos, Bangkok is gleaming with new high rise buildings and first-world infrastructure projects. Its new airport — once fully operational and completed — can give Changi Airport in Singapore a run for its money. Its my first time in Bangkok and just hours after I got out of the airport, I can see why tourists flock to this magnificent city. Their new airport alone is a testament to the Thai’s tireless attempt to be the region’s best. (more…)
